Black Rose – Celeste, Seneschal – Scheduling for next year’s event: Need to get the seneschal of Glynn Rhe to release the Wine List reservation for the first weekend of October 2010 before we can schedule Black Rose on that weekend.

Exchequer – Andreit – Shire funds are just under $2,000, due to two excellent events this year.

Herald – Niccolo – Jacques’ name has passed. His device needs a quick fix, it needs to be hand drawn, instead of computer drawn.

Knight’s Marshall – Sir Mordan – Armor night will be held Tuesday nights at his house

Castelan/Chatelaine – Jacques – Business cards are ready. Flyers will be ready next week. Celeste suggested a shire work day to sew up loaner garb. It was decided to do that on Saturday, 12/12/09 during the day, before the annual Christmas Party. To be held at Jacques’ house.

Christmas Party – The annual Christmas Party will be held at 6:30 PM at Jacques’ house. It will be a potluck dinner. There will be a sign up list for the different dishes posted on the Crimson River Yahoo Group [Celeste, please verify this one about the sign up for dishes for the potluck]

Arts & Sciences – Genevra – The October class was on mask making, taught by Mistress Gwenith. 14 people attended. The November class will be a class on Bardic singing by Her Ladyship Celeste. In December, keeping our spirits up, Doc/Aaron will teach a class on “Beer 101”, on brewing and beer making. In January, Lord Etienne will teach a class on Alchemy.

Chronicler – Legio/Leopold – He brought the November newsletter, which was excellent, with a color picture on the cover. He requested that the members send him articles, recipes and pictures. December’s newsletter will have a Christmas theme.

Since Her Ladyship Celeste will be stepping down as shire seneschal in May, applications for the new seneschal to take over are due next month.

Bids for the 2010 War College event are due by the next meeting in December. War College will be held on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. We are planning to hold the event at Billy Dunlop Park off Needmore Road. Lunch feast bids for the War College are due by the February meeting.

Bids for the feast at the Black Rose event are due by the April shire meeting.

Border Raids 2011 – Andreit – She was unable to secure the Rolling Hills camping site in Kentucky due to the price being too high. The event bid is ready, except for the site. She & Mordan will get into contact with the event planners for the 2010 event and see if it is possible to use the same site in 2011.

Shire Equipment – Jacques will submit an equipment list to the newsletter. The one item the shire does need are large cooking or stock pots.

Glaedenfeld Twelfth Night – The Shire of Glaedenfeld will offer hands on classes at their Twelfth Night event. If any Crimson River shire member would like to teach a class, they should contact the Glaedenfeld seneschal, Her Ladyship Ysabel de Saincte-Croix.

Dance Practice – Niccolo – Dance practice will be held in November on the second Monday, 11/9, at the Northwest High School band room. There will not be a dance practice in December, due to the room will not be available.

Newcomer’s Meeting will be held on the third Monday of November, 11/16, at the Book’s A Million on Wilma Rudolph Blvd.

Shire Workday – We have scheduled a shire workday on Saturday, 2/13/2010 to make a batch of Kingdom regalia, as we did a couple of years ago.
